Hello Sublimity,
We thank you for all of your support and input to make the server better. The Era Update is a very content-rich update with new unique features such as the Era System, Buff Presets, Ability accessories and more.
We've spent alot of time testing the new update. but this does not mean everything is tweaked up to the right rates nor that the new features are 100% bug-free. It simply needs live experience for us to make it perfect.
I will now give you an overview of the new features, changes and fixes.
The Era Update Development Overview:
Please take your time reading this through. It might take a while but it will prevent possible item loss and give you an idea of how things work.
Website related update
* nWatch will be updated as soon as the database synchronization has took place. nWatch will contain new information such as: Is the player in offline mode or not?, shop information, last pvp/pks(includes information about pvp that took place).
* a new n-Solution(not the name of the solution) will be released as soon as it is organized within the staff.
Era System
The Era System, an innovative unseen feature by L2Sublimity. It has been discussed on the forum in the past and now, put live in the Era Update. The system was designed to have multiple areas on the server without scattering the population apart which ruins PvP.
There currently are 3 Era's:
* The Primeval Era - The Primeval Isle
* The Moon Era - The Cruma Tower - 1st Floor
* The Spirit Era - The Valley of the Lords Region
Each Era has a 1-week duration and automaticly changes era every Monday 5 PM GMT. There can only be one Era in effect at a time. So for example, if the Primeval Era ends, the Moon Era will begin and the Spirit Era would not be in effect.
The Era System is not activated yet. It will be activated next reboot which is planned for Monday 8 March 2010.
The global gatekeepers will automaticly update their hunting grounds page so the right Era is displayed at all times.
Era's are only limited to monsters. When an Era begins, the monsters of that Era will be spawned. Talk NPCs will always be there allowing you to still be able to progress outside of the Era if any items were pre-collected.
Changes made to The Primeval Era (The Primeval Isle)
We've made the following changes to the Primeval Isle:
* The Chaotic Zone now does not affect clan, party, nor alliance members.
* The 'Mystery of the Primeval Isle' quest has been slightly changes. The 'Antler Dust' quest item is now collected at the Varka Silenos Stronghold or Hot Springs by killing Grazing Antelopes. The 'Titanium of Splendor' quest item is now collected at the Valley of the Saints by killing Blades of Splendors
* The inner Primeval Isle (Where the mobs are) is now NOT a Chaotic area. You can drop items if you're red and die there.
The Moon Era (Cruma Tower - 1st Floor)
The Cruma Tower is the 2nd Era also known as the "Moon Era". People will mainly farm here to collect items to create Excellion weaponry. The second floor has been turned off to create a shortage of room and monsters causing tension between players which eventually leads to pvp or mass pvp.

The area is designed to be a semi-party hunting zone. Hunting alone will not give you any advantages.
The monsters in the Cruma Tower drop Excelled materials. Excelled materials are used to create the new and powerful Excellion weaponry. More information about the new weaponry and crafting it can be read later in this development post.
The monsters are boosted and have a level range between 79 and 85. Their intelligence is also improved so it adapts to situations it would normaly not.
Please talk to Astrologer Celeste which can be found at the Cruma Tower 1st Floor Entrance for more information about the Cruma Tower.
Hekaton Prime is one of the Cruma Tower Raid Bosses which has a 7-hour respawn time. The private fighters have been removed from Hekaton.
The Spirit Era (Valley of the Lords Region)
The Valley of the Lords Region is the 3rd Era also known as the 'Spirit Era'. In this Era, you can collect Spirits for the Spirit Fusion (which I will explain in a bit) and collect AP(ability points) for your ability accessory.

The Valley of the Lords Area is designed to be a semi-party hunting area leaning more towards a solo area than a party area.
To collect Spirits, please start the 'The Spirits Within' quest at Magister Delim which can be found close to the spawn-location of the Valley of the Lords from the global gatekeepers. He will go into further detail on how you are able to collect Spirits.
Excellion weapons
We've released the Excellion Shield at the Rainbow Update... but now you will also have access to the new Excellion weaponry.
Excellion weapons are obtained by craft and requires the following items:
1x Excellion Recipe
9x Keymats (Blades/Edges/Heads)
110x Excelled Alloy
80x Excelled Ore
50x Excelled Steel
30x Excelled Hardener
The Excellion Duals will require a -bit- more excelled items. Howmany exactly? go ahead and check it in-game.
Excelled items can be obtained during the Moon Era. Recipe's are obtained at Astrologer Celeste of the Cruma Tower by exchanging Ancient Scroll Pieces (dropped by Cruma Tower monsters) for your recipe of choice. You can only exchange recipes at 0:00 - 0:59 in-game time (press ALT+M to view what time it currently is in-game)
Excellion weapons cannot be enchanted. They can be enhanced using the Spirit Fusion at Magister Delim during the Spirit Era. More information about the Spirit Fusion can be read later in this Development Post.
Excellion weapons can get up to Stage 9 (S9). What these stages exactly do can be read in the Spirit Fusion section of this development post.
Excellion weaponry enhancements will be put up for donation in a couple of weeks.
The Spirit Fusion
'The Spirit Fusion is the technology to fuse Spirits onto your Excellion Weaponry' which Magister Delim explains.
You are able to collect spirits using the 'The Spirits Within' quest which you can start at Magister Delim.
To perform the Spirit Fusion, you will need the follow:
* a certain amount of spirits
* an Excellion weapon.
The Spirit Fusion allows you to enchance your excellion weapon to a higher spirit stage. Each spirit stage will require more and more spirits.
The Spirit Fuse can fail which results in loosing your weapon and spirits. The exact success rate is displayed before Spirit Fusing your weapon.
There are 10 Spirit Stages available for Excellion weaponry:
S1 - Increased P.Atk. and M.Atk.
S2 - Special Ability + Increased P.Atk. and M.Atk.
S3 - Special Ability + Increased P.Atk. and M.Atk.
S4 - Special Ability + Increased P.Atk. and M.Atk.
S5 - Special Ability + Increased P.Atk. and M.Atk.
S6 - Special Ability + Increased P.Atk. and M.Atk.
S7 - Special Ability + Second Ability + Increased P.Atk. and M.Atk.
S8 - Special Ability + Second Ability + Increased P.Atk. and M.Atk.
S9 - Special Ability + Second Ability + ?????? + Increased P.Atk. and M.Atk.
Each succesful Spirit Fusion will make your weapon stronger and stronger. Excellion weapons can also be augmentated and so with hard work, luck and patience your Excellion weapon can be a weapon of high value and importance to you and your team.

Ability Accessories
Ability accessories are accessories that holds an ability. But before you can benefit from the accessory, you will have to bring it to its Mastered stage.

To master your ability accessory, you will have to collect a certain amount of AP.
There are in total 6 ability accessories:
Knight's Cotton Shirt - Requires 1080 AP to Master.
Rogue's Cotton Shirt - Requires 1080 AP to Master.
Magician's Cotton Shirt - Requires 1080 AP to Master.
Divine Silk Shirt - Requires 1480 AP to Master.
Royal Silk Shirt - Requires 1480 AP to Master.
Nobility Silk Shirt - Requires 1480 AP to Master.
The ability points get stored onto the accessory and not the character, meaning AP points on accessories CAN be traded.
For example: Trading a Royal Silk Shirt AP 439 + Something else for a Royal Silk Shirt 1000+
the Knight's Cotton Shirt can only be worn by those who master heavy armory.
the Rogue's Cotton Shirt can only be worn by those who master light armory.
the Magician's Cotton Shirt can only be worn by those who master robe armory.
What the ability accessories exactly give is for you to find out once you have collected them in-game.
Ability Accessories can be obtained from the 'Search of the Inner Ability - Part 1' quest which starts at Elisma which is located at the Graverobber Hideout (Valley of the Lords Region, Spirit Era)
Augmentation changes
* You now cannot stack active augmentations with passive augmentations. We've made it to be like this for balancing purposes. This will also increase the value and efficientcy of Chance augmentations.
Buff Presets
Buff presets allow you to obtain your whole buff-list in a single-click. All you have to do is set your buff-preset by clicking on the "Manage Presets" button at the buffers: Elindia, Tannios and Leonardo. Make sure you save your buff preset list by clicking: "Save my Preset for this class".
Each subclass has its own preset meaning you can have up to 4 different presets.
It is really easy to use so I would suggest you give it a try.
Plus Event
The Plus event is an NPC-based event (such as the X-mas and Fireworks events) that allows you to temporarily exchange Phoenix Armory for Plus Scrolls.

Plus scrolls are magical scrolls that allow you to keep your weapon's enchant and the weapon itself when it fails. If it succeeds, it will result in an increased enchant of your weapon.

Class and skill changes
* Provoke now affects players at a high chance.
* Warlords hit for less with a bow. Their polearm increment of Rainbow Update was causing them to hit too hard with bows
* Dash re-use delay has been decreased.
* Increased Treasure Hunter stab Landing rate.
* Increased Plains Walker stab landing rate.
* Increased Abyss Walker stab landing rate.
* Decreased landing rate of Slow.
* Increased landing rate of Curse of Doom and its duration has been changed from 30 to 15 seconds.
* Decreased duration of Silence from 30 to 15 seconds
* Increased landing rates of all root-type skills.
* Increased Silver Ranger's Critical Damage.
* Increased Lightning Strike Landing Rate
* The Critical Damage effect of Dead Eye has been decreased.
* Armor Crush duration has been decreased. Landing rate has been increased.
* Slightly decreased gladiator PvP damage after Rainbow Update's big increase.
* Touch of Death now cancels your enemy's buffs for 15 seconds. After 15 seconds, the buffs are returned to its normal state and buff-time. Cleanse gives the buffs back right away and is the perfect counter measure against the new Touch of Death.
Clan changes
* Updated and fixed system message related bugs.
* You now obtain 0 reputation points for finishing the Clan Academy.
* Subpledge names now do not get reset and can be changed properly.
* There was a bug which was causing subpledge leaders with a name exceeding 11 characters, to not be the subpledge leader anymore after a reboot. This bug has been fixed.
Systematic changes
* Item skills now also have a re-use when relogging. Item skills are active skills obtained from an item. Example: Clan Gate, Active augmentations, etc.
* You now do not loose Spawn Protection when activating skill toggles or casting Blessing of Noblesse
* The Armor Penalty bug has been fixed.
* The Global Gatekeepers now do not port people that are in a stage of flag or in a state of karma.
* Increased Queen Ant's HP significantely.
* You can now open three Lineage II Sublimity Interlude Clients and are allowed to do so. Make sure you run the updater else you cannot.
* The 2nd hair accessory slots have been implemented.
* Rune, Dion and Orc Village's Gatekeepers now also contain the Heal and Deleveling functions.
* There are now areas from which you cannot be summoned from. Such as the Primeval Isle Beach
* You now cannot mount striders in Coliseum any more.
* You now cannot summon people to the Ant's Nest Region
* You now cannot summon people to the Coliseum Area
* You now cannot summon people to the Forge of the Gods.
* Gate Chant has been re-coded to block people in certain areas and to show proper retail-like system messages.
* Buttons now have a hover-over effect.
