This message is about the match-fixing scandal in Turkey. I don’t want to go into the details of what has and has not happened, but I am sure you are aware of the fact that the scandalous match-fixing activities in Turkish football are being covered up by the Turkish government, Turkish Football Federation, some clubs involved or benefit from the current, corrupt environment, and of course the media (specifically the ones who have obtained rights to broadcast football matches) that do not want to see the return on their financial investment in football being risked and/or damaged. Evidence is being tampered, pressure is being applied by the government, and free speech and unbiased news reporting are being prevented by the powers-to-be in Turkey. Media are being used to manipulate the truth on this issue for the last 10 months.

I would like to share with you this short film to raise your attention to this issue as it impacts the whole footballing world, not only Turkish football. It is a perfect example of people’s reaction and perception of justice in football and their silent cry against corruption and the systematic cover-up thereof. Sadly and unfortunately, Turkish people finally have had to turn to UEFA and other international institutions for justice and protection of fair play in football:
