The Matter of The Past, Today and The Future

Nowadays, it is an undeniable fact that a large number of parents frequently experience disagreements about many subjects with their children. In fact, it is not situation that people encounter only these days. As being in the past, it still continues owing to some causes as well. It is possible to say that amongst the many causes behind the disagreements, generation gap and communication impedement are the most significant.

To begin with, because of many technological developments and changes in people's lives that arise depending on these developments, many differences between generations break out. As a result of this situation, also patterns of thoughts of people become different. Therefore, parents and their children are getting have different attitudes on the same subjects. For instance, while in the past my mother's family would not approve of her taking university education in a different city, she had opposed to this. As for now, although my mother does not want me to go abroad for my education, I demand.

The other main reason, which parents and children sometimes cannot compromise, is communication impedement. Since both of them are persistent and stubborn, neither parents nor children give up when either of them attempt to do something which isn't wanted by the others. Even though both of them generally insist for the other's sake, neither of them realize this.

To sum up, generation gap and communication impedement underlie disagreements between parents and children. This matter was in the past, today also, in the future too if people still resist to not to understand each other.
