Thanks for that usefull link ;) Actually, I would like to share a link for your consideration as well... Here it is;http://www.english-test.net/ If you look the link up that I shared, you can get further information about exams such as TOEFL, IELTS or GMAT... Also you can get access many of sample exam questions, and even get a chance to submit some speaking exercises... (this message may be up to date...) (P.S.Please ignore some silly grammer mistakes  ) |

Thanks for sharing. Although we all are native speaker of Turkish, we make many mistakes in Turkish. Thus, it is normal to make mistakes in English. We should not worry about that issue. If we do, some of us would abstain from writing something. Such things negatively affect us. |

I get an error which has writted on(look down) when I try to open the link. Could anyone explain this situation, please? so i guess i can find people here who have information about IELTS... and my question is should i take IELTS for work? does that help me in job aplications? mainly thats what i wanna know. |

Well, actually it depends on which job position/type that you applied... But generally, those points could be converted each other within some tables. I can gave an example about master applicants for school... Generally they issued an "equevelince table" which summarize equevelince of various exam points between each other (Abroad; TOEFL-IELTS; in Turkey, KPDS,ÜDS,TOEFL,IELTS)... In general, a 6,5 in IELTS may be equal to 80 in some tables... (It can be changed for Universities also, not same in everywhere)... Just get information from job positions which you wanna apply... But I think, Toefl is more well-known in this case. Just once and for all, for the record,I did not take neither TOEFL not IELTS yet... But some of my friends thought that, IELTS is more easier for them... (It is just their comment, I heard opposite things as well) |

Yea i heard especially the same thing...and IELTS is not a computer based exam like TOEFL. so that makes people relieved and helps the concentration positive way. coz in Turkey as all we know we get used to have paper based exams not computer based so i think thats more appropriate for Turkish students. And i also took none of them.but i am not happy about my work and i d like to appoint for more and i think that can help to get better positions. i took KPDS and it s easy too i got more then 80 so i guess my degree is A or B...but KPDS is for governmental job apps not for non-governmental jobs... most people take these test for education abroad...thats not my issue. |
